>> CFAO hiv/aids Programme So that it doesn’t run out of steam… The Country-Coordinators are the on site guarantors of the success of CFAO Solidarity’s HIV/AIDS programme. They met during the SIDA-Entreprises meeting in Ouagadougou (). A success. The annual meeting of the Country-Coordinators of the CFAO Solidarity’s HIV/AIDS programme, which was held in
Ouagadougou , marked a new stage in the progress, on the ground, of actions to combat the pandemic. Organised at the initiative of the SIDA-ENTREPRISES association, this meeting enabled coordinators from and other countries to meet. 150 people were thus able to share their respective experiences and the workshops allowed them to meet in small groups. This meeting was also an important time for CFAO Solidarity, as Béatrice Gangneron, in charge of sustainable development and social responsibility, explains: “there was a lot of moving about! 10 Country-Coordinators made the day out of the 25 countries where we are present. This meeting allowed us to improve how we reflect on the profileand the role of the coordinator.” Super peer educators The Country-Coordinators represent the strong link of CFAO Solidarity in implementing the programme of combating HIV/AIDS on the ground. “It’s the keystone! It organises actions, has an operating budget, ensures that screening is a reality, that the fight against discrimination is not an empty word… A platform for international exchanges has been established. By inspiring each other, the aim is to emulate this amongst the coordinators… so that it doesn’t run out of steam!”

>> Testimony Heriniaina ANDRIAMALALA in charge of service quality at SICAM and SOMAPHAR and Country-Coordinator () “The role of the Country-Coordinator is essential for the success of this programme of combating AIDS: there were therefore lots of lessons from the
Ouagadougou meeting. By discussing with my alter egos, I discovered other facets of my task. I have been in charge of coordination for the HIV/AIDS programme in since 2005. Each December 1st every three years, we organise blood donations at the
Antananarivo site for CFAO employees. This is a simple and confidential way of screening the virus. On this day, every excuse is good to talk about our actions: thanks to articles that have appeared in the press, we hope that other companies will follow suit.”
